I very much like Danish oil. Final coat buffed up with a scotchbrite and the excess wiped off. Leaves a finish you just cant stop running your hand over, feels natural yet with a shell-like finish. Warm to the touch like wood should be, unlike varnish.

ok thanks, i probably should have said more of a sheen than total gloss, Liberon danish oil is meant to leave a sheen so i'll give that a go. thanks

Off thread a bit- just got cabinet scraper all over manky looking garden bench ( shitty old wilkoes varnished on it ) - teak oil brought Oak grain out a treat! Looks like church pew now. K
