Heading for my third set of Cooper discoverers on the hilux, good all rounder and hard wearing, had bfgs on when I got it first, chunkier tyre but loud at speed and a bit slidey on smooth wet roundabouts! Have no experience of Pirelli or Bridgestone, so can't say.. do see a lot of generals about.. had grabbers on a defender before. Waay too offroady for what i needed! 50 50s Could be good, or cheap, hence so many about on farm jeeps.. I'm comfortable with the coopers and happy to stick with.

I’m running insa turbo rangers on my ford ranger 255/55/18s

theyve been on the truck 12 months log delivering, a lot of towing (tractors/farm machinery/logs) the front tyres are hardly worn but the backs are down to about 30 percent. Just ordered 2 new ones for the back and I’m sure the fronts will do another 12 months or more. 2 for the back were £160 for the pair delivered. So a long way cheaper than bfg etc. Rob

I have heard the same about the coopers.

So probably  them, my local fitter seem to be pushing the Goodyear wrangler all season, and blackcirles seem to have a discount to. Are Goodyear trying to push them to get sales? Have not seen any one with them though.

Keep your opinions coming
