chipper shute moving

Recommended Posts

Put it onto two 150's so far and a 190, spares the panic as chip swings towards someones window

I put a shim under my 230 shute Jose.
Being a tight arse though I made one out of the side of an old 25ltr chain oil can

Hi Wes

Yes i do have the washer and no joy.

I will order one but i may for fun knock a plastic one up in the morning as i have loads of old oil cans kicking about.

Definitely interested in how the chute has been modified though as its a chore taking it off daily if there is a viable solution.

Many thanks guys

The bolt and nyloc nut on the opposite side of the chute to the wrench and washer is critical. The adjustment is not done just by tightening the nyloc nut as you’d think, it is adjusted by the bolt which has only half a revolution of travel. Once that bolt has set the torque if you like, then tighten the nyloc to that. My lads take the spout off every night and we have no probs at all in it moving whilst at work my friend.

GreenMech chutes still unbolt to fold over the bonnet. Take a look and give the picture to your engineering friend. That would make it easier to store!

Well I had 5 minutes before the start of the day, had a old oil can kicking about so thought I’d give Al’s fix a go.

5 minutes and I’d roughly cut out a plastic shim. Chit is tighter than a Scots wallet now!

Get me out of trouble for the time been.

Cheers guys
