Arb chainsaw trousers questions

Having tried most pairs on the market -

Stihl are ok, probably closest thing there is to a standard. Probably last a year or so.

Arbortech - very similar to HiFlex, except with an annoying back pad part and poor belt loops. Material is stretchy and light, but will rip if you even look at a thorn or barbed wire.

SIPs are pretty good, I just always found them a bit heavy.

Pfanner gladiators are pretty well spot on, as said the zips aren't the best and the bum part does rip. But I have a pair that's coming on 6 yes old, never had any other pair of trousers come close to this.

Comfort and fit, then durability.

For me Husky tech extremes are a perfect fit. After ten years in the industry they're the first pair of cutting trousers I've had which I don't grudge wearing. Durability is an issue, granted, but for the comfort it's worth it. Last trousers were Pfanner kevlar extremes, awful fit, but lasted for years.

Stihl's and Pfanner's for me too and I also have found the SIP's to be heavy/cumbersome.

What is everyone's preference in terms of Type and Class?

I will only wear a Type C having been contractually obliged to since starting and it's now become ingrained.

Does anyone ground or climb even in anything thicker than Class 1?

If available would anyone want a Class 2 if it could be made as light as a Class1?

Thoughts please.
