I don’t know, for me it’s debt, guilt, habit and just that the day is long and boring if you don’t do something ‘productive’.

Theres always some self satisfaction in there too, we all have our own way of completing / carrying out tasks / jobs, and when you know you’ve done a shit hot job of it, then theres a sense of real achievement, even a little smirk in there too for yaself. All that brings back a bit more motivation and get up!

Nowt wrong with a lego tree bud?

To address the questions asked by the op,id say join a group.

Group pastimes or hobbies are great at gettin you off your arse and has the bonus motivation of knowing others are depending on you.

Reading and improving your knowledge is also great.

Funnily enough i joined a political group recently cause im sick of moaning about tories/labour/Snp shafting people so ive done something about it now and it feels good to be proactive, tryin to help folk like myself.

If your lookin for something worthwhile then perhaps volunteer your time at a food bank or help families struggling in working poverty...oops im gettin political.

You get my drift dont you

First step is the hardest

Good luck matey

Plenty of self improvement books that I read and were worthwhile

Last Christmas I got a book about dealing with procrastination, I've not got round to reading it yet...

Seriously, when I was getting paid an hourly rate life was so much simpler. Now I'm trying to set up a small holding, and not likely to earn anything for a good few years, it can be a bit of a struggle. Sometimes it helps to look at what I have achieved and that helps me realise what else can be done if I put my mind to it. It also helps if something it too daunting to get on and do something else to at least get something done.
