Ticking Hilux!

?? they are a workhorse. Personally i prefer the simplistics and reliability of the earlier 2.5’s but the later chassis and body / interior of the later 3.0’s is defo more appealing. If the ticking hasn’t seemed to get any louder then dont worry. Regular oil changes is key, and some general upkeep will see you out for a long time yet [emoji106]

Don't suppose its related but I had a loud ticking noise at idle ( suppose that's why its called tickover ? ) on my Navara . Really sounded metallic . Turns out it was one or all of the "V" belts . Replaced them and it was gone ..

That’s interesting stubby, obviously I’ve been trawling through google (just to give myself the horrors and ensure plenty sleepless nights[emoji3]) and that was one of the cures, I don’t think it was for hilux but certainly a Toyota engine.
