I’ve stopped buying Sugi , too heavy ,even the sugi lights are not light !! too hard a metal to the point it’s brittle .. I’ve replaced one bar tip three times now and any I have left in service have been done atleast once.

Sounds like triggers broom![emoji23][emoji23]

Think Matty is roaring a big saw on a short bar ! Hilarious when one bloke brought a brand new 375 Husqy in with a 16" bar, was burnt out  by sandwich time , on some big Oak logs [emoji6] k

36” bar on the 395 one sprocket in 11 months , I ran that on a 36”Oregon for 8 years on the original sprocket.
15” on a 560 on its third sprocket .. actually it’s in the bin now.
12” on a 540 ... this shattered the sprocket the quickest ... in three weeks.

I was trying the sugi narrow kerf bar with oregon chain. Had one bar that lasted a month before the nose sproket disintegrated and got a replacement only for the same thing to happen again in a very short space of time. Both times i was just cutting some timber, no reason for it to bust. First bar i greased the nose second one i did not, the end result was the same.
