Farmi wp36 help #2

Anyone had this before?

The main leaver sits in the far forward position after a manual split and has to be manually returned to centre.

I have the external splitting leavers fitted and it seems that now the safety mechanism, which engages when you lift the shield is no longer resetting (i think). its either a spring missing or crap jamming something I would guess but I can't see anything which would cause this.

Thanks

MAKE SURE the operating lever lock is fully in the OFF position.  If it is slightly on the rubber part of it can grip the operating lever enough to stop it returning to the neutral position.

Does it return to neutral when coming off the saw stroke?
