So , having had Chicken pox as a nipper I could develop shingles ?

you only get shingles after having chicken pox. shingles is not uncommon. my wife has had it and she is definitely common

It seems you are correct. I wonder why the Doctor to me it was unusual to have had chickenpox then get shingle, unless my mind is playing games with me.
