Tried mine again after the sound was rubbish on the vids I posted on youtube and it turns out there must be a fault.

I'll try ringing this week to sort it out

Couldn't be bothered ringing so opened the camera unit up to see if I could solve the sound problem.

The microphone is in the orange rubber sealing strip and like most mics it has a little felt pad over the opening. It turned out the fibres on the little felt pad were going inside the mic and rubbing on the sound diaphram.

So I just remove the felt pad, cleaned out the hairs from the diaphram and hey presto, sound is good.

Probably voided my warranty but hey ho :001_smile:

just a short clip of nothing really very exciting at all. mainly just to show the quality of the helmet camera.....more footage to follow, and a full review.

Nice vid n dismantle. Where can I read the full review of yours?

I bought a POV & have found the angle needs to be wider!! The angle on your cam looks good & it picks up sound well too.

Any tips on the film taking? My pov always seems to come out as if Im shaking my head to some tune I like:001_smile:

the pov has an optional wide angle lens, do you have this one?

havent had anything exciting enough to record as yet so dont really have too many tips on film taking...reg would be the man to ask.....all i can say is try and keep your head still and focused where you want it to record, but thats common sense really!

Some skiing footage in awkward lighting conditions, the footage I had previous to these two was on a sunny day and you could make out all the marks in the snow, excellent quality footage from a relatively cheap headcam. In the second vid there's a bit of water on the lens after my tumble at 4.20 in vid one
