I’d imagine a Birch overlay was put over a model which would effectively wrap her in a ‘birch skin’, then the finished picture was just placed in front a suitable tree. Very clever!

 

If it were real i'd have been up there drilling a little hole in the tree!

 

I would have been dripping sap, that's for sure....:laugh1:

The image is neither a real tree nor a photoshopped image, but it is a real person.

 

It is a photograph taken in 1986, by a German photographer, Holger Trulzsch.

 

The model and body-painting artist is Vera Lehndorff.

 

This image is from their book, "Veruschka - Transfigurations"
