just logged onto arbtalk to search the same (or similar) question.

doesn't look like anyone has a definitive answer.

I was looking at the van earlier thinking of taller tyres but not sure how that would affect the vehicle.

I made a (very basic) skid plate under the tank out of an old road sign which helped. Also had HD springs in the rear and slightly taller tyres, but just need to be aware! No easy fix though.

Been through this years ago... ripped bottom of 2 tanks on a crew cab I owned.

had enough.

Got a fuel tank of an ldv convoy tipper. One with a nozzle and cap with a key. Also got the brackets with it. Thinknit was maybe 80.00 ish. That bolted onto the chassis easy and was well up out of the way. From recollection i could also fuel it up without having to tip the body up slightly also. Rewired into the fuel sender on the ldv tank and guage worked too :)

Theres your fix boys. Was spot on then

Glad that worked for you swinny my tipper pack is on the passenger side..

monkey - did you get much extra clearance with bigger springs?

Think going up a tyre size 195.65.16 to 195.70.16 will get me the 10mm I need but all 6 are nearly new

Can you not move power pack to the other side? Its only one hose and a few wires. Or mount tank at other side and extend pipes and wires to the sender
