Tow ball too high for trailer.

I just picked myself up a small trailer to mount my mini chipper on but as it's for cars, the thing sits at dodgy angle.

I have two options, engineering the trailer towing eye shaft so that it either has a bend in it or steps the eye up 6 inches so the trailer sits flat or get a plate to lower my tow ball on my Rangers.

Anyone have any other work rounds, I don't really want to bastardise the trailer so it can only be used for pickups, at the same time I don't really fancy having a tow ball sitting stupidly low on the back of my truck...

Gold plated solution would be some kind of bolt on adapter that lets the trailer have a straight or bend shaft, I can't seem to find one online though.

Cheers,

Mark
