i downrated an old dodge 50 camper from 5.6 ton to 3.5 .

i used a company called SVTECH , simple enough i just had to wiegh it then they sent out packers to fit under the bump stops, then i just got it tested and replated, this was about 15 years ago so i could be different now.

As long as its under the 3.5 ton you will be fine, you are going to end up with a very small legal payload though.

Yes I'm sure it'll be next to nothing, but it's not much on a 3.5t crew cab anyway and some of the bigger weight trucks seem to go for a lot less money.

Evening all

Have any of you down rated a 5 or 6 tonne iveco daily or sprinter tipper to 3.5 tonnes?

I know the payload would be next to nothing! I'm just interested in how difficult it is and who to contact to get it done?

Many thanks

been looking at this myself so found time and courage to ring dvla and it may be easier for you than me as the truck i was looking at is 4 WD and was looking at changing taxation class as well for me theres a lot to do with forms and photos so hence why my head is up my arse at the moment,
