Hi guys, I was practicing my climbing in my local park as its been a while since I did my cs38 and want to do my cs39 next year. Anyway a guy got chatting to me and said he was an ex copper and to watch out as I might get nicked for using park trees, now im not sure if that's true, if so where would be the best place to climb? I don't know anyone with private land so that is not an option. Any guidance would be helpful, thanks.

I tend to find woodlands to go climb in, less dog walkers and chavs near the gear bag at the bottom the better for me! means a walk in sometimes though, new arbotec rucksack carries everything and is comfy enough.
can’t see how they could find climbing trees illegal unless you endanger someone or start practicing with your saws up there!
