Over the 200 years or so we've been married, the opening of windows, turning down the thermostat , leaving the back door open, not shutting doors...lighting the fire has relieved all those problems and a wry smile occurs when the good lady starts doing exactly the same.

When we were first together (some time ago) a suggestion of a bit of nookie would soon warm things up. 

Doesn't seem to work any more!

And I am pretty certain nookie is carbon neutral.  DEFRA should encourage it.  Maybe a RHI (Renewable Hump Incentive) if you have enough of it.
