Rayco drive problems and finger teeth coming lose

It should go faster forwards than backwards! Sounds almost like your hydrostatic drive has been reversed? It shouldn't really require much maintenance from factory setting other than ensuring the fluid level is correct and the drive belt is tight.

One other thing that might cause this is the handbrake! They have a tendency to seize 'on' and could be the reason why it is worse when the machine is warm as it will expand further.  Strip the disc brake down and lube the control cable and it may well fix it.

How do you check the oil [emoji51][emoji849]? Mine doesn’t have a handbrake so definitely isn’t that [emoji23]

In front of the engine is a white plastic reservoir. Unscrew the top and see if any oil is in there. From my experience they don't need much so as long as you can see some it should work.
Check the cable is moving the lever fully when you push it for forwards and backwards.

Never had one mate, no sign of a disc or calliper mounts or even a disc mount. Presumably it’s a quite old version. I think it’s actually an rg20hd

mines a 1997 rg20 and definitely does have a handbrake. Interesting to hear about the brake seizing on. D you not think the oil could have degraded over the years so too watery when hot?

Any chance you could post a pic of the disc and the Caliper mounts? Maybe mines had one in the past and had it removed but there’s no sign I can see if it
