Anyone else seen an apple tree sucker ???

So went to the ladies house today to have a look at a potential job sounded like it was a grinding a stump job

 

But got there and an apple tree that we felled and grinder two years ago has started suckering, well the lady is saying it’s an all Lee tree but I’m not sure if so what would be the best way to remove them ??? I suggested poising the new growth. IMG_0512.jpgIMG_0513.jpg

Apples sucker freely and are amazingly resilient things.  Those pics don't surprise me.  I reckon that persistent mowing will deal with that tiny growth before long.  Personally I wouldn't go down the poisoning route; they'll get the message as soon as the roots run out of the energy stores needed to generate the suckers.
