I wanna ask you if you have a job , it looks lush ! Would love to fish that river!
I know around my way the clear fells are not replanted straight away because of pine weevil , it takes at least a couple of years to bring the population down after felling, felling for some reason brings out a boom in the population ,even with spraying and sticking more crap in to the environment after that time it is still hit n miss but they recon if planted In those first two years it would absolutely decimate replanting and make it a failure .... but then again yours is a different environment.

Thanks all !

Matty I think that patch was cut over 10 years ago. I highly doubt itll get re planted.....same as countless others in the area where re-planting wouldnt be cost effective due to access, and I dare say the slim chances of being held to account. The Corporations that own the tree farm licences are like locusts. I suspect they would clear cut the whole if BC If given the chance. But its a big subject and i dont want to get all negative about it here. Its a great place to spend time. Just needs more visitors. At which point I think thered be a lot less and smaller clearcuts. Certainly theyd be a lot less abandoned sites too.

Cracking Reg, my favourite vid this year, and there’s been some strong competition from Pornhub.

Do you know if the Red Creek Fir has ever been climbed?

What a place.

Yes it has been climbed Mark. I know a couple lads who been up it, although there was a few more live limbs at the time.

I do love a dougie. My favourite scientific name to say too, just rolls of the tongue nicely. Pseudotsuga menziesi. Tis the biggest tree in england down in dunster near minehead measured in 06 at 197ft. Prob a lot bigger now. I climbed it a few years ago. Its also got the tallest magnolia in england right next to it.
