Kohler

Stefan, replace the kohler once it starts using more oil, sarting bad or sounding strange. Mine used very little always, suddenly it went up to maybe a a cup every 25hrs, then I bought new.

I see no point in overhauling a 2k engine.

Some Kohlers go behind 4000hrs in stumpers, others die @500hrs. Warm up, cool down, change oil and filters. Just a gamble of luck.

There is no leaks anywhere. All seems fine, yes that’s how I do, let her go for half hour and then empty her. And dip stick never changes.

Perhaps I’m overprotective on her

If you can afford a smaller one without borrowing then go smaller first mate. You can get buy with a smaller one whenever your big one is having maintenance/down time but equally it can get in the narrower gaps. Then in a few years go bigger and I’m sure with your ethic you won’t need to borrow then either.

Makes sense, I dont come across real big jobs very often. Sometimes on golf courses.

The thing with no borrowing is that things takes longer. I have zero patience with things. It just have to wait.
