Easy lift harness

Anybody had longer term experience with these? Read a few of the older threads. Would just like to know if anyone who has bought them still uses them regularly. Seems like it would be useful but I can see it not even making it into the van for the day. Most the hedges I do are awkward bastards, so its up ladders, poking about, switching from long to short clippers, balancing on fences, overstretching, clippers down, clippers up.

Looking for something to make it physically easier but also, and most important, quicker. Don't want to be fannying about adjusting a harness.

Found it really help for when I had to do trimming all day long but as soon as you go up the ladder you have to take it off.

Really useful if you're using extendable long arm trimmers and you don't find yourself so tried at the end of the day.

I have found that since I have gone over to the cordless hedge trimmers if does not really get used.

Do you have the backpack battery?

Found that having two 300 battery is more then enough for a full day trimming.

The only time that I need to charge batteries on site is when I'm using the cordless strimmer.

I found that since I went cordless I dint  mind trimming for the whole day.

What cordless trimmers do you use? I have two AP300 batteries for my MSA160T. Was looking at the HSA94R/T but was disappointed to learn they need a battery belt. Don't like the idea of having a cord attached to my clippers. I have good petrol short and long hedge trimmers, so don't want to replace them until they're broke. Thought the ELH would maybe ease the burden in the meantime.

I got the HLA 65 and the HLA 85 trimmers.

If you already got the batteries then your halfway there.

The harness is really good if you want to stay with the petrol trimmers.

I started with the 65 and then a few weeks later got the 85 and since then have only used the petrol trimmers a hand full of times over the last two years.

Had an easy lift for 2 years now and still going strong. Wouldn't be without it to be honest. The only thing I broke is the plasticpart on the upright but they are sold as a spare so no dramas. If you've got a lot to do then definitely get one but if it's all fiddly stuff like you say then it may not be so good. It is a little quicker but where it really shines is with effort saving. I can do 8hrs a day 5 days a week of hedge trimming with little to no fatigue whereas before I had it, come mid week I'd be knackered and aching and going slower because of it
