I fitted a 3/8 picco bar and chain on my ms261 an 25" bar on my MS461 and the 20" doesn't get used! 3/8 picco is so good for me on the 261 that I use that pretty much for everything!

So let me know if you can use a bar?!

Interesting post, I have a 25" on my 461 and was thinking about getting a 20" but not sure I would actually stop and take time to change it over. Thought it might be another reason to buy that 365 I don't really need, could keep 20" on it.

When you changed to Lo Pro You didn't mention swapping the Drive Rim/Sprocket did you do this along with bar /chain? Just curious

Yep when you change to 3/8 picco you change the sprocket pitch too. I bought the Stihl "Tuning Kit" which included a 16" bar, 3X 60 link loops of 3/8 Picco super chain and a 3/8, 7 tooth sprocket rim. must be why it slipped my mind - the kit is so easy to swap over I forgot I'd had to do the sprocket!!
