Felling trees in Hebden Bridge one day and an irate 'lady' (might have been a bloke in drag, HB is like that) said to my boss that she didn't know how we slept at night!

He replied "We don't do this all the time you know. We go seal clubbing during the winter instead"

Hebden Bridge certainly is like that, place full of weirdos. Should we all buy a narrow boat and live happily ever after there?

There's a pub just outside the centre that used to have a parrot.

As as the air got more filled with the aroma from the funny fags it used to start nodding off. Finally it would pass out stoned and the Landlord would take it out of the way until it woke up with the munchies.

Ok back on track, who has renewed and who has sacked it off, there calling me to join but I'm not convinced as to the rating system, IMO its so open to abuse and just about anyone can leave a bad review or at the least cause shit that I would have to sort out with CAT.

Not really convinced by these systems, and yes you are right its open to abuse.  Google reviews isn't much better.  It can be a major pain in the are getting a review removed, if its even possible.

Personally if I was looking for a tradesman I would go on references rather than reviews.  I might read reviews of things like products I am purchasing, or hotels, but even them I take with a pinch of salt as I know how petty people can be

Years ago when I used Yell some woman left a shitty review that I knew nothing about and found out by accident, never worked for her but was late for an appointment due to traffic, Yell wouldn't remove it so I dumped them even the free listing, never done me any harm either but its annoying and takes ages to sort out so I guess im going to body swerve CAT !

I was attacked by a goose in the dry dock at Hebden Bridge and was trying to kick it into the canal when my wife pointed out all the people in the cafe laughing. I turned round to them and shouted like a nutter, "he started it".
