Couple's fury as council refuse to help control trees towering over garden

Recommended Posts

Maybe the council could agree to the works if the complainants are willing to pay for the felling and replacement planting of a new tree?

A reasonable approach Paul, but then it creates a precedent that 'you can have what you want if you're prepared to pay for it'. I think that that is the top of a very slippery slope.

Locally, due to funding cuts it's becoming very much a situation that a householder can work on council trees, at their own cost, for non essential works to reduce nuisance issues. You have to wonder where and how it will all end.

Edit: And no I don't have any solutions, before I get flamed :001_tt2::D
