Trailer swing lift

I bought one of these and fitted it in the bed of my ifor trailer for loading sawmill components, and sawlogs. It lifts the loads fine though rather slowly, but better than heaving real heavies manually. To be effective and safe you really must give the trailer some way of leveling the deck - jack legs or similar on both sides. If not when you attempt to lift the trailer sinks down on the load side, then you can't rotate the boom uphill to clear over the trailer. When the load gets to centre of trailer and beyond, reverse happens , trailer starts to tilt the other way, and the boom accelerates away to the other side, unless your quick to dump the load. Gravity and load can swing these things quite wildly. The pivot is a really crap bearing setup that is just pants, it sometimes helps to slow a fast slew, but is no way helpful when manually slewing a big load. The rotating lever is made of chocolate and can't take any serious strain, and I'm expecting to bend the boom sections fairly soon, but will then replace with a more substantial box section .

Overall does save the back, does a job but you are always very aware of what could be done with a proper crane.
