Hello Geoffrey, thanks for the question. The Zega poles are made of a much heavier duty material and consequently are a lot more robust and less bendy. They are 1.5m long - which means that to get a 6m reach, you only have 3 joins, as opposed to 4 joins with 4' Jameson poles. This helps maintain better rigidity. The Zega poles have a very effective locking system which is easy to operate, doesn't pinch your fingers when releasing the poles, and makes a very nice tight joint with almost zero play. They're batch tested for use near overhead powerlines, and with various adaptors can take a variety of tool heads including the Silky Hayauchi saw which as you're probably aware is a fantastic bit of kit. So IMO they're a lot better - more controllable, stronger, easier to use and more versatile. Hope that helps?
