Director of Vegetation Management

A national role - preferably based in the North West Head Office in Chorley, Lancashire - circa 2 days per week  

 

The Director of Vegetation Management will report directly to the company Managing Director.  They will continue to build the vegetation management and utility arboriculture business of Glendale, expanding its reach into similar utility vegetation management arenas such as road, water and rail infrastructure.  Taking responsibility for the profitable development and performance of the Glendale vegetation management businesses.

 

Success in the role will create an opportunity for the right candidate to develop his/her career and progress to be part of the Glendale senior executive team.

Qualifications and requirements

• Significant experience at a senior management level within a relevant sector, including business development, P&L responsibility and experience of leading senior managers and teams

• An excellent understanding of vegetation management operations and/or bidding and the critical success factors in a low margin high volume environment

• An excellent approach to the proactive management of health, safety, environment and quality in the workplace

• Experience of service operations management / contracting is essential and  experience of the green services market is desirable

• Experience of managing a large and geographically diverse workforce
