Could be a scam but there are some genuine makita 5ah batteries on t Ebay for cheap if anyone is after some. 30quid for 2 . Seller says def genuine and happy to refund if not satisfied. Has good feedback so worth a punt

If it looks too good to be true it probably is. Straight from China so more than likely a fake

Makita don't make 9ah ones but the off brand ones come in 9ah?

So either there false label or beter capacity than the largest  makita ones?

I bought some 18650 batteries for a torch, they are the cells inside drill batteries and some of the Chinese ones claim high mAh figures like 9000 but they are nothing like in reality seldom going over 3500mAh. Take the figures on replacements with a pinch of salt. The batteries still charge and light my torch and were half the price of Samsung ones so I don't mind so much.

If anyone is really really really bored you can watch this vid comparing standard 3/8p and 1/4 0.043 chain on my little makita.

As you can see, not alot in it

Edit: having used it on mixed diameter stuff it is very noticeable faster on sub 3" stuff and smoother. Also seems to let the battery run cooler and longer
