Splitting Eucaliptus

Is this best split green fresh felled or after a year or two,  looking at 5 foot or so diameter stuff.

Fresh unless you’ve got a big splitter. Our 22t had no bother with well seasoned big rings.

Processed  euc green and dry and not had any problems with either but it was easiest green as is with all woods I have encountered.

you'll be using a splitter or chainsaw to cut it up if you don't hand split it when green.  Horrible stuff.  The annoying thing is when it drys it always cracks and splits all over the place so at a glance you image its going to split easily, then its like hitting a lump of concrete

Its still standing, coming down mid week,  so will split and process in the following 7 days weather permitting.
