Yes mate, i have thought, but never put it into action i think you may have a point there we have a Bench

so i may do a time and motion and see if it saves time.

is that around 1.2m3 in the ibc? two men one on the saw and one splitting/loading can do 6m3 an hour here, so i

need a good plan to top that.

If you can do that stick as you are!

On my own I cant do more than a cube an hour ringing and splitting with a fast auto returning splitter (Krpan 18). If your wood is 12"-20" a splitter is you best bet unless you can afford a big processor.

Yes Sorry got that the wrong way round....6x 0.6 bags an hour thats about 3m3...And thats the best we have ever done, more like 2m3 and hour

yea but we split ours crazy small. its what people love and its what the stove fitters told us to do for their customers also drys alot quicker just takes a bit more time. i did some larger 15 inch longs the other day and it was soul destroying how much quicker it was.  tbh it just sounds like you need to get a big processor, tajifun 480?

It makes a big difference which tractor you are using. My old International 434 is painfully slow compared to my 100hp SAME.

The SAME is as quick as I would want it to go before it got dangerous. (this is with an Oxdale 400)

Well im running off a 82hp Tractor with good pressure and flow rate,so the splitter is flying up and down but a bit low on strenth with the harder stuff,i was just thinking the return valve would maybe make it a bit better as i could set it for the lengh of logs to be split and speed things up a bit, must be somthing out there?
