Shogun SWB 4Work

Looking for a 4x4 run-around that will tow reasonably well but offer more comfort and better reliability than a Defender. Anyone tried a Shogun SWB 4Work commercial?  I have heard that the earlier (2006) 3.2 DiD engine and transmission is pretty bombproof?

Cheers Craig

Lovely trucks, they fetch strong money second hand because they are good. Still quite noisy and agricultural. But not as bad as a defender.

Make sure you get the automatic and all the spec if you can. The fancy stereo and seats are quite nice in them. Though the one I had was a 10 plate so may have been a different generation.

Thx Jonny, went ahead and brought it. Having them change the timing chain guide which is supposed to be a weak point and catastrophic if it breaks off.
Paid £6.5k for a clean truck with 90k on it, you don’t get much of a Defender for that money. Hopefully it will be a goodun!
