The MK2 husky has addressed the dodgy build quality of the first generation . There is a stronger mount for the rear AV spring and the spring itself is now barrel shaped . This has cured the tenancy for the saw to fall in half if dropped on the strop . There are a few other mods to the engine itself  , fly wheel and some other things I cant remember but it is much improved .  I think the Stihl 201 has had things modded to enhace the performance also . The Mk1 was dire .......Some people rate the Echo .
