Weather can be miserable in the UK, but honestly I don't know how you manage to climb in 40 degrees.  I struggle in anything over 25!

Where abouts are you coming from Tom ? My Bro is about 45 mis outside Perth Has a wonderful house , pool ,  underground water with sprinklers for the garden , chickens etc etc . He now owns a successful restaraunt ..........Are you sure you are doing the right thing ? I would think it would be much harder to go back should you find Blighty not what you hoped . Exchange rates etc .

Based In Adelaide , South Aussie. I got permeant residency here so can come back no worries , in fact we will have to come back for a short while as my Mrs as to finish her veterinary degree , but back home to london for now get the little ones to know their family. Will likely have to return in a year or two !
