Jensen A540 Turntable chipper opinions

I like turntable chippers as you can generally leave them hitched up and rotate the infeed hopper and discharge to suit without the need to unhitch when faced with a tight nadgery driveway.

I know Jensen's  A530 and A540 are supposed to be brilliant machines and i have used them a lot in the past but never actually owned one.  What about the turntable versions though,  is there any reason to suspect they are not as good as the standard non turntable version??          Opinions please.

Below is an example of one i have seen for sale online.  Thanks in advance.

I had one like that,it was a kin cracking machine.I have its bigger brother the A340 now.

I would have a turntable machine over a fixed anyday of the week, you will supprise yourself on how often the ability to slew the machine comes in handy. That machine will be much easier to work on than your reular inline machine.

Buy it before I do.

That’s a really good price, 250 hrs is nothing on them, buy it

that particular machine has been on there a while, i suppose the plant dealers get stuff offered them direct and also travel to Bightwells etc picking up stuff in the auctions to 'prepare' for resale

so any hopper paint experts - does photo 4 look like 250 hours worth?

I'm guessing that is more wear than to be expected after 250hrs - looks about the same as this Jensen with a claimed 759hrs https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JENSEN-A550-DI-WHEELED-WOOD-CHIPPER-GREAT-CONDITION-LOW-HOURS-NO-VAT/222816491098?epid=17008528737&hash=item33e0e5d65a:g:iaMAAOSwnTdZ-yfI

some very strange goings on in the used chipper sales - exactly the same model as the OP linked this one with only 87 hrs and similar price and more hopper paint of course https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jensen-540-turntable-woodchipper/273058342336?hash=item3f938ba5c0:g:JPsAAOSwCMtaUjz-

when i was on utilities i noticed the paint finish on Jensens was poor,  or was it the prep before the orange paint was applied i wonder?  Either way the bossman said the finish was fairly poor and some machines looked 'well worn' after a few months use.
