1, order the following forms D2 & D4

2, take a medical

3, apply for provisional

4, pass theory (100 questions) & hazard (19 videos) tests (mod 1a & 1b)

5, pass mod 2 case study test

6 pass mod 3 practical test

7, pass mod 4 practical demonstration test

 

then each year do 7 hours CPC each year or 35 hours all in one go every 5 years.

are you limited to 1 truck then or can you expand the fleet by applying to DVSA etc?

Not restricted to one vehicle on a operators licence no, you will just declare what vehicles are applicable according to operators licence rules. Visit the .gov site it’ll explain all.
