or use a spade to spade it out that gets stuck...   much cheaper than faffing about with air holes everywhere..

I did that for a couple of years when I first started out (who needs a tipper etc????) But within a day of getting a tipper - vowed I could never go back to the shovel.

The problem is, after a hard days graft shovelling 4-6 cube doesn't seem like fun. Pressing a button is better.

Any more on this? Interested and cant afford tipper for a couple years.

haven't done much beyond still thinking on it..

The trouble is I need a cheap trailer, and every one I see one on ebay that might do, I start to worry about the work involved..

or the associated problems. got myself a welding set up, set about welding a few practice bits of metal and discovered I can't weld for shit..   used to be good at it once over, now I can't see where the hell I am and end up zigzagging hoping to get the right bit.. its not good!!..

I'm starting to think about buying a box trailer and putting the chipper in the back then blow the chip into the back of the trailer. One option anyways..

I've found that no matter what I think is a good idea, the next day it seems the worse possible solution.   can't imagine how I thought it would even work..

Trouble is doin tree's isn't something I do full time, truth be told its more like a hobby, as long as I get a dozen tree's in a season I'm happy so its hard to justify spending to much on the equipment I might need..

But I do still intend to build one as I described, only its gonna have to wait..   perhaps in the middle of summer..

There have been threads on set ups like this before.

It’s a shite idea, and it won’t work commercially.

Pulling over a tarp with 3 cube of chip on it? Post the vid, please.

Not what you wanted to hear Vesp, but they are the facts, in my experience.

And I’m probably the best climber around, and I’m double hard, and a real grafter.

Did I mention I’m very handsome?

No that's why tippers are ubiquitous

That sounds like a challenge, I've only done it with a smaller amount in a pug 504 pick up but will try to see if the boss lets me lay a tarp on the canter floor on the next job he's booked me for, May 24th.
