Absolutely agree, it makes the law meaningless.  No mention in either report about felling licences either...

I was a resident at Haytop under Mr George's ownership, he cared for the site 100% and nurtured the environment. When he passed away in 2015, Tony Barney who purchased the site 2016 as part of Countrywide Park Homes, forced all residents to leave the site, 8 days, then 28 days notice to leave. The company illegally felled 121 protected trees and have recently felled another 4 protected trees. We were at the court hearing and were utterly disgusted for the paltry amount. This company has been in media coverage for bad practice since 2009 even gaining parliamentary discussion from John Gummer MP. They have no respect for nature or trees.
