Hi, common problem and the clamp is useless on mine and just broke it this morning again .

I had to rope the battery end to me tow bar and pull it out ..clean it up and a tiny touch of WD .

My has has warranty work over the stupid clamp but that was 3 years ago  and clamp is not worth a toss , great machine let down by a bad design .

As above, I can't pull out the extension.

The clamp is loose and the inner shaft rotates slightly but can't pull it out.

Anyone else had this issue before I send it back?

Cheers...Al.

I had the same problem with mine it was a small plastic clip with 2 lugs on that had snapped off in side the shaft which is slightly oval  making it very hard to pull, I got so far in but when the motor or switch had to be taken off I thought, hang on what am I doing this for ! So I put it back together   & took it to the dealer who sorted it for me under warranty.

I've only had it a couple of months. I'll get in touch with the supplier.

Cheers
