Hi guys, I’ve got my interview for level 2 arb at Cannington College on Wednesday, but have also been advised to go straight for level 3 and I spoke to the course director and he said we’ll chat about what’s best on the day, I’m 25, have first couple of tickets, I know a lot of my tree idents and fungi already.

I do a lot of recreational tree climbing, generally have been a little ‘ tree mad ‘ for the last 5 years.

I like the idea of becoming the top in my profession and being a team leader, surveyor and cutter and maybe moving on higher into the forestry commission or estate management .

That’s all just a rough over view of me!

Cheers for any heads up!

Connor

Just jump straight into level 3 mate. I did and I'd never done tree work at that time and new hardly anything except what I'd read in books in my own free time. Level 3 ain't rocket science. As long as you're comfortable with computers and reasonably literate, you'll be good to go.

I'm a bit late in replying, but based on what you've said about your current knowledge and experience, and your ability to formulate and punctuate a sentence, I'd say you were more than capable of going straight in at level 3!  You'll do well.
