Wood wanted - Chepstow. (Unprocessed, processed, arbwaste etc.)

Hi all

As above - I'm looking for wood near Chepstow. Will consider arbwaste, unprocessed green wood in the round, even fully processed and seasoned wood, depending on price for different options. I will accept either softwood or hardwood, or (preferably) a mix. This is only to process myself for my own use, so ideally nothing over ~12" diameter. Access isn't great, you can get a 3.5 ton van down my drive, or a pickup towing a trailer, but not an 8 wheeler or artic! I can only cope with a few m3 at a time anyway, and can probably only store about 8m3 in total.

What have you got, and what sort of prices are you after? No drastic hurry on this as I'm looking to process and season for next winter now, though could also find use for some ready to burn wood. I will also need wood on a continuing basis in future.

Thanks.

Hi Sandpiper, I can't help you now as I am out also, but we will get more stock as the year progresses and then we should have stock right through the year.  Ours is nice and dry (air dried then kilned) but is collection only from Wentwood Forest.  Price is around £120 per loose cubic metre hardwood and £90 per loose cubic metre Larch, and we bag it so it is easy to fit almost a cubic metre in most cars.  If this helps PM me.

I've got loads of conifer in rings or big lumps if you've got the means of collecting from Caerwent? I just don't have the time to deliver but I could load the big lumps for you.

Just an estate car, so possibly not worth it? Also I'm processing by hand, so big lumps might be more trouble than they're worth. Thanks though.
