I just started this thread as I thought someone here might need a cheap stove... I wasn't expecting an interrogation...

I've looked through them and if the bidding doesn't go crazy there are going to be some bargains.

. . . . . . . . . . . . , would be interesting to know what the stuff went for.

If you go to the website and click on the item description, you'll see what the last bid was. That will be the price the item sold for.

At the bottom of the item you choose to look at, you will see clickable options to "previous lot" and "next lot" giving you an opportunity to scroll wherever you want.

Yeah, thanks for that, looks like most of the stoves went for a bit less than 1/2 rrp.

Yeah but don't forget to add 30 odd % onto that for the VAT and sellers fees.

Still a good deal if you were looking for a stove, I actually had a couple of bids in on different stoves but once it got to about 50% of the rrp I bailed out as I was only wanting it for my workshop

If you are just looking for a workshop stove try technik stoves in Herefordshire. Solid build in thick steel with the added advantage of top opening which allows you to put sawdust and shavings straight in. No connection, just a happy customer with a 20kw stove and a caframo fan to blow the hot air into the workshop.

Cheers Mike, I'll have a look.

Still might make one out of a 47kg gas cylinder. :)

There's another auction in the Glasgow area that contains about 50 stoves. Unfortunately the stoves aren't branded so I assume they are cheap Chinese versions, they could still be ok for the spare room etc.

This auction company sells a fair amount of stuff that could be useful to arbtalkers. They sell a fair amount of commercial vehicles/ trailers etc. Could be worth a look if you're in the Glasgow area.

Just to be clear, I've no connection to this company!
