Groundsman - South Wales

Hi Guys

I have just completed the CS 30/31 course (assessment next week) and am looking to gain some experience as a groundsman (initially) in South Wales (Swansea) area. I also have the brush cutter cert already and am handy with hedge trimmers etc. Will be looking to do CS32, 38, 39 & 40 asap.

Am looking for any and all work, I love a good days graft, work well in a team, and am available for immediate start with own transport and PPE.

Dead keen to learn the all aspects of the trade. Any work offers, or general advice would be most welcome.

Cheers

Have you rang around the local firms offering yourself up for some work experience? I did just that about 20 miles north of you and got a job out of it! Even if you don't get the job offer, you'd be surprised how much you can learn just by being on site and watching, and getting your face known as a hard worker will mean your first on the list of guys need a hand.

Good luck! PM me if you have any specific questions about Arb in South/West Wales, I'm pretty new myself, but I can pass on the little knowledge I have:D

Yeah, gonna get on the blower as soon as I have done the assessment next week.
And you're right, it's all about getting the experience and showing you can graft.
Thanks a lot Wiley, will do ;)

I'm based at the top of the Swansea Valley and often need both groundspeople and climbers. You can pm me with details if you like and we'll go from there. I've just given a newly qualified groundie a few days work.

Thanks Liam, that would be great. I've PM'd you my details, available whenever you need me
