best bet is youtube nath.... i wouldn't be able to explain it!!



Most older petrol engines use port fuel injection wich is less precise since it just sprays fuel into the intake port, which then mixes with the air in the port and rushes into the combustion chamber when the intake valve opens.

Whereas the direct injection is injected straight into the combustion chamber at precisely the right time and therefore creating a much more efficient bang in the combustion chamber. Creating more power.

Basically it's better....

'cept this injects into the crankcase. still better than carb but not direct

I was in Camberley this week taking a look at the ms500i. Unfortunately no photos allowed. But I’m back there on the 14th feb to find out about direct supply. I’ll get some pics to post then. Nice bit of kit though.
