very interesting.. thanks for posting.


If you click earth you change it from the surface winds to 250 hPa (about 35,000 feet) and really see where the jetstreams are moving.

in that neck of the woods it would be called a typhoon, but otherwise yes - as long as it meets the criteria - ie more than a tropical storm.
