Small pro saw

261 with 18" bar, had it for 6 months, no issues.

It's ok for small stuff, but I wouldn't want to bury the bar.

I prefer an msa200 battery saw for small stuff, and a 440/461 for larger.

If I'm only taking one saw for a small job, the 261 is ok.

i always said i'd never own a husky.......... but then i tried the 560 and have now got 2 huskys......

go for a 560 and leave the 15" on it.... great saw... go and buy yourself one!!

Interesting, how long you been using one? I'm leaning towards the 550 over 560 purely just so its a bit lighter probs leave a 15" bar on it as well.

Have you conscidered a stihl ms 241 14"bar..?

At 3bhp and very ergonomic its worth a look imo

I run a 241in forestry along with other saws up to 660 but its always the 241 that I pick up first its light handles well and is quite gutsy for a small saw, I run a 14" bar on it and fell trees 30" and above regularly and a very good snedding saw, I purchessed it in march 2015 and had no issues with it only put a new plug in it about 3 months ago.

550 is a weapon, punches well above it weight, however if you want to deal with bigger stuff 18 inch up you need a bigger saw, if i have 12 inch or bigger i go for the 441

I'll tackle most stuff with a 15" up to 40" but rare that's in the woods round here. Double cut and sweep cuts mean a shorter bar and lighter saw
