Inconsiderate Parking

Recommended Posts

Anyone else suffer from the idiots parking in woodland access gateways?

Managed to get in at an angle but would not have got anything bigger than pickup in.

I found the owners at the top end of our wood walking their dogs - on the bridleway so no problem there. When I asked politely if it was their car initially they said no then thought better of it and admitted it was theirs but they were just walking and when they'd finished they would go back and move it! Politely I suggested they moved it now and was then told but "there's a public footpath sign so it's all right" :dong:

My reply "but there isn't a big blue public parking sign though is there?"

After a bit more education about my wood being my workplace and would they be happy if I obstructed their drive etc they moved it.

Farmer near me had a car block a field gateway so he chained it to telegraph pole, at lunch time owner came and knocked on his door asking questions how had chained there car he said it was he who had, they asked about unlocking it and his reply was; I Finnish my lunch at 2.00 and I will unlock it then never saw them again blocking gateway.

The worst thing is they didn't even try and leave it hard over to one side, there's loads of space there :001_huh:

Not the end of the world though is it. Put a No Parking sign up.

Posting his car reg is an absolute no no.

Shouldn't need to put a sign on an obviously used gate, would you park in a field entrance? His reg is public anyway, anybody on the street can see it as they walk past.

Re the number plate. We drive around all day with them on view, anybody can see them. They are filmed or photographed by cctv speed cameras anpr etc. It really is a non issue.
