Need to Mill up some big elm , and needed a longer bar so got a 48 inch GB bar from Rob D , so decided to make an Aux oiler to save wear on the bar and chain, went to Halfords and got a juice bottle with a pull up stopper which acts as a vent to allow air in and then stopped easily when moving around to stop spillages ... and a bike juice bottle holder for total of £6 ,

Made up a bracket from a piece of 20mm flat bar i had in the shed to sit in the bar clamp post , took about 20 mins drilling holes bending adjusting etc , got a 1/4" ball valve and a bulkhead fitting with sealing washers for the bottle from a local supplier £5 , a 1/4 NPT fitting with a push fit swivel 6mm nylon air hose fitting £1 , bit of car screenwasher hose also from the shed and got a adjustable airline needle valve to control the flow from a local aquarium shop for 90p ,

Made up a bit of plate and drilled a hole to attach it to the bar clamp to attach the regulator to with double sided foam sticky pad for a car No plate and also a small cable tie incase it came loose , did plan to just drip it on the chain but decided to drill a 5 mm hole on the top side only of the rail and also the other side for flipping the bar , filled the bottle up with oil and drip tested it and would actually pour out no problem and adjusted down to fully closed so ,easy to set up .

that was thought about but when its running i,ll see what happens , i know about the bolt set up you do , but there were comments on other forums about it getting choked up with dust so a lot of users just drip it onto the chain , see you it goes :-)

Yep the oiler bolt can get blocked and also some oils seems to struggle to get through the small outlet hole.

But it is easy enough to widen the hole and it doesn't take long to remove and clean it.
