Ok so pulling down 2 willows over the last 2 days on a plot of rough land next to a path just behind a row of houses.

We took 11 bags of litter out that plot!

Granted it hadent been touched in donkeys years but wtf is wrong with people?

Theres 2 bins on this path one at either side..

Whats even more annoying is the amount of alcohol containers we took out the place-every possible alcohol vessel you can name we picked it and bagged it many times over.

We found the obligitory pair of nasty undies but alas no porn mags which is the norm hidden in bushes.

We often get our fair share of litter pickin once an area has been opened up but f#$k me this was unreal!

I just dont get people at times

Pisses me off

We do a voluntary litter pick around our village every three months, last time we collected over thirty bin bags of litter.

On another note, I was coming back from work the other week when I saw a middle aged woman drop her rubbish behind a telegraph pole, I opened the window of the van and politely asked her to pick it up. I was told in no uncertain terms to feck off.

It's the pins that would worry me, wether they were lying on the floor or dropped in a bottle or can. If you often get jobs like that I'd look at getting some anti prick gloves.

Yeah ive seen some needles on jobs but it was before i was doing tree work.We are provided with a sharps container and just use litter pickers to pick up any needles we come across.Tbh id be asking the gaffer to be pulled off site if i came across any

Sometimes I think it would be for the best if plastic was never invented.

when did it start become used in the mainstream?... in the 1980s, i guess; and look at how much of a mountain we've created (in a pretty short amount of time).

Its a grim reality.

It's been around and mainstream a bit longer then that..

Thats people for you... there are some that live outside of societies rules  and are happy to do so... There was an experiment done in Hyde Park where litter was cleared from one side and not the other..

If we could put these people on their own island where they can happily live in their own filth.... :thumbup1:
