What crane to sit on back of Unimog u1250

Have you looked at reducing the weight of the Jensen? Can you remove any parts? does it have its own pump and hydraulic oil tank? I took the pump and tank off my Shiesling, just run the rollers from the mog pump.

 

 

I'm sure there's bits that can come of it, however... it does stick out quite a way! If I could change the hopper then maybe it'd be worth sorting [emoji106]🏻

That was actually my setup way back when.

 

Alex got me the mog from germany, he had the crane and subframe in his yard. It was originally a U1000, but Alex put a 150hp engine in it for me, it pulled like a train.

 

The problem was payload, it was only a 7500KG vehicle, with the chip box empty the front axel was 180KG over, with the chip box full the front axel was fine, but the rear axel was 2000KG over :blushing: I discovered this on a ministry weigh bridge :blushing:

 

Thats when I sold it and got my U1600, which a 10000KG machine.

 

I'm not sure how many owners it had before Stevie got it.
