Tinnitus

Weirdest thing ever is my motion detector at my house yard rings out in my bedroom, when I'm downstairs the high pitched whine is exactly the same as the intermittent ringing in my ears, so often I get out of my chair to see who's poking about outside, only to find when I pass the stairs it's not the detector ringing,it's inside my ears.

I'm wondering if tinnitus can be in part psychological?

I only become aware of the ringing if I think about it, or am reminded of it. I'd never thought about it for months, and as soon as I read this post, I can hear it.

Anyone else experience this?

I get odd ringing in my ears every now and again- comes and goes but generally only lasts a few seconds at a time.

Iv started wearing ear muffs when I'm doing road journeys in the tractor now. im only 29 but going to be pretty careful from now on I think.

Smashing rocks with crowbars always hurts my ears.

I get the same, only for a few seconds and very rarely. Always worn ear muffs. Sounds like some of you fellas suffer fairly badly.
